Support The Children's Treatment Centre

The Bike-a-thon Plus is back!

On Saturday May 14th beginning at 9:30 it's our second annual spring ride in support of The Children's Treatment Centre in Cornwall. The centre provides help to physically and sexually abused children in Eastern Ontario. The centre gets no money from the government so fundraisers like the annual Bike-a-thon are very important. Last year with very little lead time and some questionable weather we raised about $1700 (overall the event raised over $70,000)...this year let's raise more! All you have to do is show up at the Charlottenburgh Forest Mountain Bike Area and ride. Of course raising some pledges is all part of the fundraising, but if you get $50 in pledges we'll feed you, hydrate you and give you a Bike-a-thon t-shirt. We'll also have some prizes to give away (details are forthcoming). Look below for a downloadable pledgesheet and more information about the Children's Treatment Centre. Hope to see you there!

It's more than just bikes!!

Last year the organizing committee made some major changes to the Bike-a-thon which paid off for the Children's Treatment Centre. A number of new events were added and more activities and organizers have been brought on board this year. In addition to cycling along the bike path and walking, this year's Bike-a-thon Plus includes mountain biking, canoeing, running, rollerblading and a car rally. We hope you will get a pledge sheet and participate because no matter what you're interested in the Bike-a-thon Plus has you covered.

The Children's Treatment Centre

The Children's Treatment Centre--a community funded and supported agency dedicated to the prevention and treatment of child abuse. We offer free, immediate assessment and treatment to any child and that child's family, bypassing obligatory professional referrals and lengthy waiting lists. The Centre is an incorporated not for profit community agency that receives no on-going government funding, operating completely on private donations from local businesses, church groups, service clubs and individuals concerned for the emotional well-being of area children.
